I’m Karen. This is the new location for my old blog. I grew up in Manhattan, got married in CT and I have finally settled into Western MA with my husband and three boys. I work as a birth doula and childbirth educator. I teach parents how to sooth their newborns with the Happiest Baby on the Block techniques. I walk the kids back and forth to school in good weather and poor. I meet the bus in the depth of New England winter. I fiddle with the garden, over water, under water and try again. I will grow more vegetables next year.
